How to increase your learning ability?

How to increase your learning ability. Four people on the field to run faster than each other.

How to increase your learning ability.

Most of us would have heard the saying “Blessing in disguise”. Due to the current coronavirus outbreak, almost everyone is at rest. Let’s use this time period to gain one or two lifetime hacks which will not only increase your learning ability but also put you ahead in the rat race.

The importance of learning cannot be underestimated. Learning empowers us to fulfill our ideas and realize our full potential. The speed of gaining new knowledge is practically as important as its volume. Who wouldn’t love to remember tons of information as quickly as possible? If you want to start learning faster, you need a new approach towards the process which would enable you to comprehend the essence of the matter and relate it with new concepts you encounter.

Based on various studies here are 6 steps to increase the learning ability:

  1. First and foremost things is to create a conducive environment for studies. If you want to increase your efficiency then your need to have an uninterrupted session.
    • Switch off your mobile or put on it on Silent mode
  2. Make a schedule and stick to it.
    • Without discipline, you won’t be able to achieve big things. When you follow the schedule, your subconscious mind is trained to act accordingly. Knowingly on knowingly it increases your efficiency
  3.   Try to mix audio, video, notes, etc while reading to make it interesting and long-lasting
    • When you make small notes on topics, your mind processes the read information and gives the summarized output. In this process your memory get hold of the concept and important data.
    • Similarly, when you use multiple modes, it reconciles
  4. Take help of Mindmaps, mnemonics while memorizing important data
    • Such vast syllabus can’t be memorized in a solo manner. You have to use these to improve the efficiency
  5. Study on a daily basis at the same time
    • Most of us get the nature call within minutes of waking up. How does the mind knows about it? Because we have been doing it every day at the same time from our child days. Similarly if you keep on doing the same thing at same time, mind is eventually trained to respond in desired manner at that time automatically, inturn increasing your efficiency
  6. Have a little discussion on topics with like-minded people.
    • Remember your last fight with your love partner, don’t you? Yes. When you discuss things loud it sticks to mind. Then why don’t you use this while learning. Discuss those difficult topics with friends and let mind remember good things rather than storing pity “finger pointing”

If you are like many students, your time is limited so it is important to get the most educational value out of the time you have available. Speed of learning is not the only important factor, however. Students need to be able to accurately remember the information they learn, recall it at a later time, and utilize it effectively in a wide variety of situations.

WILL UPPSC FOLLOW THEIR CALENDAR?

PCS 2020 – ONE STEP AT A TIME

Will UPPSC follow their Calendar?

We have been receiving 100s of queries about postponement of UPPSC Mains 2019, UPPSC Prelims 2020, RO 2016 Prelims etc.

We don’t have any official confirmation for any of these. Our assessment and information is based on current medical situation and authentic sources in concerned bodies.

UPPCS Mains 2019:

Current Exam Date: 20th April

Status: RED – Not Possible on current scheduled date.

Reason: Current lockdown is upto 14th April. Which in most likely scenario will be extended for atleast a month. Even if government relaxes norms and removes full lockdown on May 15th, then also arrangement for exam will take at least 15 days.

Next Possible Date: Best possible scenario is June/ July 2020

RO Prelims 2016 –  This is scheduled on May 3rd. It will also be postponed as well. Most likely to be conducted in July 2020.

UPPSC Prelims 2020 – This is scheduled on June 21st.

Here 3 scenarios are possible:

  • If situation is contained by May end. Exam will happen on time ( 10% Chances )
  • Work resumes in June, Exam conducted in July, after PCS 2019 Mains ( 10% Chances )
  • Exam will be conducted in July last week or August first week, after PCS Mains 2019 & 2018 interviews are over. ( Most likely Scenario )

UPPSC / UPPCS Preparation Online Coaching

UPPCS Preparation Step by Step

If you are interested in clearing PCS 2020, then DO NOT WAIT. Each passing minute, which is not spent practicing is leaving you behind.

How can Target PCS help in your UPPCS Preparation strategy?

Syllabus of UPPSC / UPPCS Prelims and mains is vast like the ocean if you are planning to read it head to toe then you are doom to fail. You will never be able to finish the syllabus in time.

So what a smart approach would be?

Answer is, analyze previous papers and focus on areas that have been asked in previous years. then club it with standard books and fundamental concepts of each portion of the syllabus. If you cover only that much, success is guaranteed.
Didn’t you know this already, Answer is YES in 99% cases.
Then why aren’t we able to do that? Reasons are:
  1. Laziness
  2. Excuses like lack of time due to Job etc
  3. Lack of disciplined approach
  4. Lack of right study material
  5. Lack of right practice platform
  6. Lack of right guidance

If you look at these reasons, the first two are internal; no one can help you unless you pick yourself up and grind it out for a substantial period of time.
Bottom four problems are external.
This is where “Target PCS” can help you!!!

PCS 2020 – Prelims & Mains Guidance Cum Test Series Programs:

  1. Lack of disciplined approach
    • We provide and follow a schedule; you get papers accordingly on time. Set your targets and stick to the schedule. This keeps your preparation on rightly paced track.
    • Also it provides complete flexibility in terms of attempting papers.
  2. Lack of right study material
    • We provide complete booklist of standard and quality books to cover your syllabus exhaustively.
    • We don’t believe in printing standard books in our institute’s name and charge triple amount for the same content. All books are nowadays available online at a very cheap rate. All you need the right direction.
  3. Lack of right practice platform
    • Both Subject-wise and Full-Length Papers are provided with the solution to help you in practicing your content on the right platform.
    • Sectional test papers of both prelims and mains test series are designed to highlight those important areas of the syllabus, which have been frequently asked. Hence these sectional papers are designed to help you in content preparation first.
And once you are done with it, then you start with full-length test papers which along with serving the aforementioned purpose also helps you in improving other aspects of preparation like time management, reducing silly errors, figuring out optimum attempt level, etc.
Thus both Sectional and Full-length Test papers are serving different needs of the preparation and are equally important.
    • Sweating in practice ground saves blood during war. Similarly, poor scores in mock papers help you achieve fantastic marks during the exam. So shed your fear away and hit the practice ground, right away.
  4. Lack of right guidance
    • Continuous support is available with our prompt service over WhatsApp/Email. Queries shared are resolved by selected officers, who have competence and wisdom to help you out in troublesome scenarios.

Age Limit Reduction – Dilemma

Two scenarios:

No reduction in age limit: Most likely scenario

In most likely scenario age limit won’t be reduced. Few reasons to support that hypothesis:

  • Commission can’t take this decision alone. They have to get the approval from government. Right now government is facing too much heat on unemployment issue. They will not take risk of reducing age limit and depriving opportunity to this section, which is in significant proportion. For government it is easy to just maintain the status quo.
  • State election is due in 2022, any change which is implemented in coming years will have direct impact on voting pattern. Not even students their families will also vote against this decision

Age reduction by X years: Least Chances

Although it is not politically feasible, but lets say they reduce the age limit by X years. Even then each segment, which misses out from current scheme of things will get at-least 2 compensatory attempts on the lines of UPSC.

Same BJP govt, faced lots of issues in 2014 when similar changes were made in UPSC. Finally they agreed on compensatory attempts. So they will not repeat same mistake again. In case they go ahead with changes, they will definitely give at-least 2 compensatory attempts.

Summary:

In nutshell, if you are serious about clearing PCS exam, don’t pay head to these news, everyone is safe for at-least 2 attempts. Don’t waste time on these diversions. Channelize your energy towards PCS 2020 preparation.
